Humankind was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) to know and enjoy Him, yet we willfully rejected Him as our God, Father, and Friend. (Genesis 3; Romans 5:18-21; Isaiah 53:6; Ecclesiastes 7:29) Because of this, sickness, death, and judgment entered the world and now creation experiences the effects and consequences of sin. (Romans 5:12-21; Romans 6:23) BUT, Jesus, through the cross and His precious blood, has provided an antidote and an anti-serum for the disease of sin and all of its' wages. (Romans 8:1-17)
